I've been busy working on my western novel. It is the true story of Wyatt Earp, a renowned lawman of the Wild West. His real story has really never been told in novel or movie form. Through extensive research, I have been compiling the true story from credible sources, which is deeper and more interesting than the watered down versions we have seen. I've been working on this book for some time now, and it is difficult to say how much longer it will take. It's very important to me that I get everything just right before publishing it.
Why Wyatt Earp? I'm not exactly sure. It's an idea that just sort of found me, pulled me in, as if it wanted to be told. I never thought that much about the character of Wyatt Earp until my imagination kept conjuring up images of his adventures in the Wild West. The more I learned through credible historians, the more I realized how intriguing his real story was. And so, it seems I was rather sucked into telling his story somehow. Never before have I written anything which has affected me so emotionally while writing it.
With confidence, I can say that writing this book has been a unique experience.
