Vendetta Ride: The True Story of Wyatt Earp is finally available for purchase on the website! It was a very extensive project which took years of meticulous research to get all the details right. The only 'fictional' elements of the book were the filling in of spaces. Certain elements of Wyatt's story remain debated, or otherwise obscure. Writing this book was an experience unlike any other. I felt a strange kindship to a man who died before I was born, and an almost religious obligation to share his story with the world.
Apologizes for not giving an update for so long. The last company I was employed with turned into a real mess, with many people quitting (eventually even myself.) This turned my schedule into a disaster. I had to adjust to working at different times, morning or night. I am now working on getting my schedule normalized so that I can better focus on my creativity. I did recently write a short story called “The Scarlet Renegade”, which I hope to publish with a major fiction magazine. The first draft for my next novel is two thirds complete. I also look forward to sharing more of my visual art as well.
Sorry I haven't been updating lately. I started working on a new novel, reaching chapter 9 in the rough draft, then my working schedule started changing all around. Once it normalizes I can get can back to regular posting habits. My new book is a more literary work than I've shared previously, and I may seek a small publisher or local agent for representation with this one. I will update you as it progresses.
I am thinking of resuming my work on my Sam Steele project. Several people here had supported me in that endeavor and I feel bad that I strayed from it. There are still a few more books I need to read through, notes to take and time spent thinking on what I want it to be before I start writing it. But I feel we all need to remember who Sam Steele was and the good he represented.
Sorry I haven't been updating much lately on my writing. I'm in a period of working through what I want to do going forward. I stopped working on my Sam Steele project after the research was two thirds complete. I may get back to it, or it may be postponed. The world of self-publishing is grossly oversaturated and it's been hard gaining ground. I'll let you all know when I've decided what I want to do going forward.
In light of recent coordinated efforts by Amazon, Google and Apple to remove a great many people whose opinions they don't want heard (and entire platforms like Parler) I will no longer to be doing business with Amazon. I will be removing all my books from Amazon shortly and will begin to consider alternatives for self-publishing.
