If deadlines were fishes...

Obviously I missed my deadline. I have to stop giving myself those.

My new book project has evolved into something deeper and more imaginative than I'd planned. It's an epic fantasy, darker than anything I'd written before, yet with likeable main characters. In fact, it's more centred on the characters than the plot, unlike my previous novels.

Along the way I've rediscovered my 'voice.' It's that innocent ability to believe every word of fiction that you write. I'm so glad to have reclaimed my imagination! :D
