Life...so, after deciding that nothing would distract me from my writing, life happens. Things are sorted now and I've returned, finally! What's different now is that I've returned to illustrating. I am currently working on a graphic novel version of a Wyatt Earp story that I wrote in screenplay form a few months back.
This is the real story of Wyatt Earp, which has never been told! Hollywood rarely has the guts to put historic truth in its films, and when they do it's usually only in a few places, but overall it's restrained quite a bit. To me, the truth is much more interesting than the familiar romanticized retellings of the truth. Mainly because they are so familiar. Of course, this is my interpretation of the facts but I think I did a pretty good job of tying together all the loose ends. It all fits with the established facts.
The story will be released as a series of books, comprising a graphic novel. Of course, once the series is complete it will be released as a single graphic novel. This is a huge project but one which I've been quite excited about for some time now. I think it's also wise of me to combine my skills in writing and illustration. This should be a project that I can be proud of. More than anything I'm making this for myself :)
